The Boro manager was also quick to again sing the praise of the club’s fans, who have rallied to raise over £7,500 for the cause.
“The support for this football club since this virus struck has been nothing short of inspirational,” said the Athletic chief.
“To see everyone showing such togetherness and being so pro-active in these difficult, challenging times is absolutely fantastic to see.
“I’d like to thank each and every one of the fans who have contributed and put their time into supporting the club at this time.”
