The Seasiders’ chairman Pete Smurthwaite said: “The “Big Day” is almost upon us now after having dismantled and transported our old building modules to Bellshill AFC in Scotland and the existing site has been cleared. PBS Construction (North East) Ltd having this week completed the construction of the new foundations.

“Our subcontractor Integra Buildings Ltd have been constructing the new modular building at their Hull factory since we placed the order in March, 2020 and despite the Covid 19 pandemic have still been able to meet the original programme date.

“We are pleased to announce the 7 No modular units will be delivered and erected on site on Monday, June 15.

“The project will be a valuable asset to the football club but also to the community of Bridlington being available for use seven days a week with the improved facilities.

“The new building would not have been able to proceed without the help and financial grants from the “Yorkshire Coast CLLD Programme” in connection with East Riding of Yorkshire Council and the “Football Foundation”.

“More information will be provided later about other people and organisations who have helped make this prestigious project happen.”
