Chairman Bull insists games behind closed doors not an option for Scarborough Athletic

The Premier League is set to get back under way on Wednesday June 17, with the remainder of the season set to be contested in empty stadiums.
It has been suggested that the next season could be played in similar circumstances due to the coronavirus pandemic that has wreaked havoc on the sporting calendar.

Hide AdBull was quick to quash any talk of games being played to empty stadiums at Northern Premier League level as clubs like Boro rely enormously on matchday revenues to operate.
"There's absolutely no way we could play games behind closed doors," declared Bull.
"We rely so heavily on matchday revenues to get by financially, the gate receipts and sponsorships are huge for us, so there is no way we could afford to pay our players should they be taken away - I can't see them offering to play for free, can you?
"It's a difficult situation for all clubs as we just don't know when things will get back into gear and games can be played safely with fans in the ground."

Hide AdBoro have been contacting their existing sponsors this week with a view to helping them publicise a potential re-opening as government restrictions start to ease.
"We've been in touch with sponsors with a view to helping them get the word out that they are re-open and ready for business," said Bull.
"It's important we work to help support those who support us at this difficult time."
