Chelsea frontman Diego Costa bagged Hodgson 24 points, while in-form Jamie Vardy and Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez netted him 13 and 10 points respectively.

Hot on the heels of Hodgson are Simon Cooke, Marlon Moreno, Paul I’Anson and Carl Sample.

At the wrong end of the table, the Caledonian Demons remain bottom after their late arrival, but they closed the gap to perennial struggler Craig Rackham, while Gareth Austin, Philip Burns and Phillip Bailey will be looking over their shoulders.

LOOKING AHEAD (Courtesy of

A pair of derby encounters dominate the Gameweek 10 schedule as The Scout assesses the upcoming round of fixtures.

Manchester United host league leaders Manchester City on Sunday afternoon, with Louis van Gaal’s knowing a win would take them above their opponents.

Over in the north east, Sam Allardyce’s first home match in charge of Sunderland sees Wear-Tyne neighbours Newcastle United roll up to the Stadium of Light.

Elsewhere, Arsenal seek a fourth successive league victory as Everton make their way to the Emirates Stadium.

In-form West Ham United entertain defending champions Chelsea, Leicester City welcome Crystal Palace to the King Power Stadium, while Jurgen Klopp faces his maiden home match as Liverpool manager as Southampton pay visit to Anfield.

ONES TO WATCH (Courtesy of

Martin Olsson: The Norwich left-back looks a strong shout for points at both ends of the pitch this weekend as West Brom roll up to Carrow Road.

Priced at just £4.4m, Olsson produced two assists in last week’s loss to Newcastle, while the Baggies have scored just two goals on their travels so far.

Jeremain Lens: After serving a one-match suspension last weekend, the Sunderland winger returns in time for this weekend’s Wear-Tyne derby with Newcastle.

Having played a part in five of the Black Cats’ eight strikes so far, Lens will be vital to new manager Sam Allardyce’s chances of getting a first win on the board.

Manuel Lanzini: Handed a central role for last week’s trip to Crystal Palace, the West Ham midfielder produced a goal, assist and maximum bonus points in a 3-1 win.

Available for just £5.3m ahead of a home encounter with Chelsea, Lanzini offers a cut-price route into a Hammers attack that’s scored at least twice in all but one of the first nine fixtures under Slaven Bilic.

Mesut Ozil: The Arsenal playmaker has racked up 25 points in the last two game weeks and, having scored against Bayern Munich in midweek, looks increasingly influential this season.

Owned by only 9% of FPL managers, Ozil now entertains a porous Everton backline that’s conceded six goals in the last three game weeks.

Bojan Krkic: Monday night’s winner at Swansea took the Spaniard’s tally to two goals in four starts since returning to action for Stoke.

Priced at just £5.3M, Bojan will be hoping to fire the Potters to a fourth straight win against a Watford defence that’s been breached in all four of their road trips.
