Forrester hoping he made Brighton rock

Forrester was brought into the Boro side from Selby Town by former bosses Paul Foot and Bryan Hughes midway through last season and he really grew into the campaign with a string of lively performances.

The former Hull City, Scunthorpe, Grimsby and North Ferriby United man is now awaiting a nod from the south coast outfit, though Boro are still very high up on his list of priorities.

He said: "I signed up with an agent a month or so ago, he sent my CV out and Brighton invited me down.

"I was a bit of a late developer, that was the kind of player that they were keen to look at on the day.

"There were a lot of players down that had been released by pro clubs like Chelsea and Arsenal and a few from non-league teams.

"I thought I did well on the ball, there was no difference really, but most of them were full-time players, so I was a little bit behind in that.

"It is something that I can work on over the summer months though.

"Brighton did a presentation beforethe game and the first-team facilities we played on were just crazy.Their manager Chris Hughton was watching as well.

"They said to us all they'd get in touch by email if they were interested, so I'm just waiting to hear back now."

If things don't work out with Brighton, then Forrester is still keen to discuss plans for the future with Boro boss Steve Kittrick.

He added: "I've come from further up the pyramid, but I'm only 19, so there is no mad panic to get back up there as soon as possible.

"Playing for Scarborough last season was a great experience and a good introduction into senior football.

"I've never experienced anything like that cup final before, the fans were amazing.

"I spoke to Steve recently and he asked me to get in touch when I hear back about Brighton.

"They are looking to push on a lot more next season as a club, so I would have no problem at all in going back there."
