Kittrick: Business as usual for Boro

This is despite the fact that a victory could lift Boro to the top of the table.

Kittrick is keen to play down all the hype as he tries to instill a business-as-usual mindset into his squad.

He is boosted for the game by the return from injury of midfielder Jamie Price, though Adam Bolder is still carrying a knock.

"There are a few selection headaches at the moment because there are a lot of players fighting to claim their place in what we are doing," said Kittrick.

"Jamie is back, but Adam is not 100% yet and we have to see whether Chris Bolder can do another 90 minutes.

"The game at Ossett will be very different to Saturday, they are another side who will make it very difficult for us.

"I'm not going to mention about the league table to the lads, it is too early in the season to be thinking about it, but they are not stupid, they know where we are.

"It is all about the mindset going into matches. We are going there to win, it is all about picking up that positive result."

It will also be a return to a former stamping ground for Boro's Kittrick.

He added: "Grant Black has done a very good job at Ossett Town, he has put together a good side.

"This is a club close to my heart because I spent a lot of my footballing career there and also managed them as well.

"They are all good people and I have a lot of friends at the club."
