Tadcaster Albion manager Billy Miller has leapt to the defence of Lewis Morgan after his leg-breaking challenge on Scarborough Athletic man Liam Ormsby.

Miller felt that Ormsby's extra pace was a factor in the collision towards the end of the FA Cup clash last weekend.

Morgan was only shown a yellow card for the foul, though Boro manager Steve Kittrick felt that it should have been a straight red.

Miller said: “Everyone has their opinion but all I want to focus on is to wish Liam the best and hope he recovers as soon as possible.

“It's a contact sport and accidents happen. I just think Liam was just a bit quick for Lewis. I don't think either player took their eyes off the ball as they went into the challenge.

“Liam is a top lad and fingers crossed he will be back playing at this level in the near future.”
