Pocklington Town FC 1sts held by visitors Goole United
Pocklington Town FC hosted Goole United in a must-win game for the Reds.
The hosts started strong, maintaining attacks and putting Goole under serious pressure, this paid off with a superbly-taken goal by new man Sam Hawkett.
Goole dusted themselves down and hit back on the counter just after the break leaving Pock with it all to do.
Ultimately the game fizzled out with both sides failing to take the game by the scruff of the neck.
Town 2nds lost 7-2 at Wheldrake, despite young winger Nathan Harper finding the back of the next twice early on to give the visitors a 2-0 lead.
Pock sat back and invited pressure, then went down to 10 men.
The momentum shift saw Pock suffocated in their own half and the floodgates opened.
Pock thirds lost 5-2 to Wheldrake Reserves despite goals from Dan Hudson and Ben Davidson.
