The away side took the lead when John Bateman headed down for Daniel Gregory to make it 1-0.

Gregory's long-range effort made it 2-0, but Sleights hit back to make it 2-2 after a couple of lapses in the Otters' defence.

It was soon 3-2 to the away side though, Gregory curling a free-kick into the top corner to put Scalby back in front.

Sleights again hit back and levelled just before half-time at 3-3.

Lone striker Bateman latched onto a through-ball before calmly rounding the Sleights keeper to make it 4-3 after the break before Nick David's pen made it 5-3 to the away side.

Once again the hosts battled back valiantly and clawed their way back into the contest and made it 5-5, but a 20-yard effort from skipper Rich Brice and a Sam Swift goal after good work from Bateman wrapped up the points for Jeff Brader's side.

Sleights' goals came courtesy of Spencer Hewison, Jim Neil, Simon Taylor, Ryan Roe and sub Mike Butler.
