The Belfast Telegraph reports that Boro manager Kelly, Diarmuid O’Carroll, previously a player with Cliftonville and Crusaders, ex-Cliftonville and Sligo boss Gerard Lyttle and ex-Lincoln and Doncaster midfielder John Schofield are among the contenders for the position which would cover both the Under-17s and Under-19s age groups.
The position became vacant when ex-Celtic coach Stephen Frail left to become assistant manager of Dundee United last July.
The Telegraph report the Irish FA are ready to appoint his successor, with interviews for the role taking place on Tuesday.
