Boro flourished in the latter stages of the season after Kelly replaced John Deacey in the hot seat at the Flamingo Land Stadium.

Striker Connor Thomson had already been brought in on loan from Gateshead, but Kelly added the services of Salford City midfielder Kieran Glynn and York City defenders Tom Allan and Harry Spratt in a bid to mount a late push for the BetVictor Northern Premier League play-off places.

It is believed that Thomson, Allan and Glynn are out of contract whenever the season ends, while Spratt is tied to York City for a further season.

On the club's loan stars, Kelly commented.

KIERAN GLYNN

"I would absolutely love to get Kieran back at the club for next season and I have been working hard to do just that.

"I don't think Salford will extend his deal there and we will be speaking to him once we have things sorted budget wise.

"He's one hell of a player, so gifted in possession and I know he really loved his time with the club both on and off the field.

"The fans really took to him and likewise the other way round, so let's see what we can do to get him back in."

CONNOR THOMSON

"Connor is a great lad and a great professional and I was so impressed with him during his time with us.

"I genuinely think if I can work with him more next season that he will continue to improve and I'd love to see him back in a Scarborough shirt next season.

"He'd be a great addition to the squad - so let's see what happens."

"I'm working to find out his situation and if we can indeed get him back to the football club.

"I firmly believe Tom would be a cracking signing if we can attract him to Scarborough."

HARRY SPRATT

"I believe Harry is contracted to York City for next season, but once again I would be very interested in getting him back to Scarborough Athletic if it is at all possible.
