Scarborough Athletic manager is keeping his options open as he hunts to replace goalkeeper Tommy Taylor.

Kelly has been keeping a close eye on trialists Lloyd Allinson and Kyle Trenerry in pre-season and has now let the latter go.

The Boro boss said: "Kyle has been first class, his attitude and application have been great, but we're looking to go in a different direction.

"We won't be rushed into signing up a goalkeeper for the new season, it is a critical position and we need to get it right."

Allinson will continue between the sticks for Saturday's friendly against Eccleshill United at the Flamingo Land Stadium.
