Both fundraisers were scheduled to take place this month, but the club have taken the precautionary step to postpone both.

A club statement said: "In light of the the current national picture concerning Covid 19, the club feel it is sensible to postpone both the Sportsman's Dinner and Race Night this month. Both events will be rearranged at an appropriate time later in the year.

"Those that have purchased tables/places for the Sportsman's Dinner can hold onto these for the rearranged event. Likewise race sponsors for the Race Night.

"It is never easy to postpone events, especially after all the hard work that has been put in by club volunteers and others such as Mitch Cook but we feel that this is both the sensible and necessary approach in these circumstances.

"Further information about future dates will follow, once the situation is clearer and events can be rescheduled.

"Meanwhile, the Northern Premier League has today decided, reluctantly, to suspend all fixtures until further notice in light of the escalating Covid-19 outbreak."
