The Boro boss has brought Salford City midfielder Kieran Glynn in on loan for the rest of the season and he goes straight into the squad for Saturday's clash with Matlock Town at the Flamingo Land Stadium.

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder started his career at FC United of Manchester before joining League Two Salford City and has since had loan spells at Chorley, Woking and Southport.

Kelly said: "Kieran is a player I've admired for a long time and I have actually tried to sign him on a number of occasions in the past too.

"I've watched him a few times now and he has great attacking qualities, is very creative and he can open things up in the final third.

"He brings a lot to the squad and I'm really pleased to have been able to bring him in."

Boro are hoping to add a further two new additions ahead of the visit of former manager Steve Kittrick's Matlock Town on Saturday.
