The home team dominated, with great displays all over the pitch, Molly Lassey commanding the defence and Chloe McArthur with surging runs down the right wing.

Boro opened the scoring with a close-range effort from Elle Abell after a great save from the keeper and Lacey O’Hara doubled the lead with a fine headed goal.

After that Boro were relentless in front of goal with a deflected effort from Sophie Overfield and then Anya Joy chipped in with a brace before half time with the score 5-0.

The hosts carried on the scoring in the second half with a fine strike by Anna Donbavand and O’Hara netted after a break forward, Macey Crane finished well inside the area and Overfield bagged a couple more goals to complete her hat-trick the pick being a fine finish into the roof of the net from just inside the area.

Rovers hit a consolation goal on a rare counter-attack.

Girl of the game was awarded to Eloise Ruder for a great performance in defence in only her second start for the team.

Scarborough Ladies Under-12s travelled to Wilberfoss Mavericks, and the game started very evenly with Boro looking to put in place things that had been worked on in training.

Unfortunately they came up against an inspired Wilberfoss and the match got away from them either side of half-time.

Brilliant keeping from Evie Lincoln and a great all-round work ethic meant that despite the result the team left the pitch smiling. Huge credit to the parents and grandparents who worked with the coaches to get the game on.​
