Scarborough Ladies FC Under-15s cruise into York FA Cup semi-finals
Scarborough Ladies FC Under-15s moved into the semi-finals of the York FA Cup thanks to a 12-0 home win against Strensall Tigresses on Saturday morning.
Scarborough Ladies Under-15s, who are unbeaten in the York League this season, turned their attention to the York FA Cup to see out their matches for 2025.

On a cold and slightly frosty Sherburn Playing Field, both teams were without players due to illness but showed great resilience and determination to play the game.
Scarborough’s blistering attacking combination; with the agility of Chloe McArthur, speed of Milly Bowes and power of Mia Morris; proved too difficult for the Tigresses to handle. Neat combinations from them all saw Scarborough earn a six-goal cushion by half-time with a hat-trick for both McArthur and Bowes.
Strensall started the second half with a stronger defensive posture making it difficult to break through a highly-congested final third.
A number of counter-attacks from Strensall were thwarted by Grace Royds on the left wing, with Matilda Jordan and Sophie Grey dominating centre midfield. It was Grey’s assist that put McArthur in on goal for her fourth of the game to get the scoreboard moving again - her fifth came soon after.
Throughout the game an attacking platform was provided from the right wing which was under the complete control of a great partnership between Grace Leach in defence and Isla Williams on the wing.
Morris bagged the ninth goal with a powerful shot bulging the net from distance, which would have been the goal of the game until Bowes hit a 25 yard rocket into the top corner moments later.
Morris could have walked away with a number of goals herself, were it not for some excellent blocks from the Strensall keeper.
McArthur and Bowes finished the scoring with a goal each for a final 12-0 result.
Scarborough’s coaches awarded joint Girl of the Game to Leach, Molly Lassey and Maddie Dunn for a solid defensive performance that helped Lexi Watson earn a clean sheet.
Scarborough go into the Christmas break unbeaten in the league and awaiting semi-finals in two cup competitions.
