Scarborough Saturday League Division Two: Reeves and Skelton at the double as Edgehill Reserves battle back at Rosette


Two goals from Mark Craven put Rosette in front and they could’ve extended their advantage further, but Craven spurned a good chance to wrap up his hat-trick.
The hosts were made to pay for their missed chance as Edgehill battled back to draw level at the break with late a Jake Reeves double.

Hide AdEdgehill took the lead for the first time in the second half through veteran Keith Skelton and wrapped up their win late on when Al Wray saw his header cleared off line and the visitors broke away on the counter-attack and Skelton grabbed their fourth with a superb strike.
Skelton and right-back Joseph Nock shone for Edgehill, while goalkeeper Mike Harland and Luke Foster stood out for Rosette.
Seamer Reserves edged a seven-goal thriller at Scalby Reserves by a 4-3 scoreline.
Two apiece from Connor Myerscough and Ollie Parker sealed the points for Paul Greatorex’s side, who had midfielder Dan Jewitt in fine form.

Hide AdScalby battled hard to get back into the contest having gone 4-1 down, but goals from John Clifford, Eric Hall and Toby Dennis weren’t enough for the Otters, whose star men were Clifford and George Wilson.
Snainton cruised to a 6-1 win against Goal Sports.
Andy Holt’s men led 1-0 at the break, Aidan McCallion with the only goal of the first half.
Dave Scriver levelled for Goal Sports after half-time, but prolific striker Zac Hansen hit a hat-trick and goals from Jack Brown and Brad Marshall wrapped up the win for Snainton.
Leigh Watson stood out for Snainton, while Billy Bown was man of the match for Goal Sports.

Hide AdWest Pier Reserves bagged three points after beating Eastfield Town 4-1.
Johnny McGough’s men trailed 1-0 at the break, Jordan Scott with the strike for Eastfield.
They battled back in style in the second half as Terry Day smashed in a hat-trick and Mikey Anderson also scored.
Brandon Catherall was Pier’s man of the match with Jordan Gillen also impressing.

Hide AdCayton Athletic struck a late winner to edge out Eastfield Athletic by a 3-2 scoreline.
Luke Rainton and Theo James both scored for Eastfield, who led 2-1 after Cayton’s early opener through a Ryan Somers penalty.
Cayton levelled in the second half, Somers scoring a second penalty of the afternoon, before sub Macauley Youngson hit their winner in the 85th minute.
Freddie Schmuck starred for Cayton, while Eastfield’s man of the match was Cameron Swift.
