Josh Young opened the scoring for Rovers before home keeper Ben Rowe saved Sean Exley’s penalty to maintain their lead.

Man of the match Neil Forsyth doubled Rovers’ lead heading in at the break and although a Niall Gibb own goal gave Edgehill hope, a second from Forsyth and Ellis Wilson’s strike sealed the win for Jordan Lee’s side.

Joe Gallagher was Edgehill’s man of the match.

Filey Town cruised to a 3-0 win on the road at Seamer.

Jack South netted Town’s opener before Tom Micklethwaite bagged their second after following up his saved spot-kick and then Liam Wainwright grabbed the third and final goal in a solid team performance from Town.

Sherburn dumped West Pier Reserves out of the Scarborough & District FA Junior Cup after beating Johnny McGough’s side 3-0.

Pier shaded a goalless first half before their hosts bagged three unanswered goals in the second half to seal the win.

Cal Plant and Shaun Dolan were the star men for Pier.
