Seamer Sports earn Scarborough FA District Cup final win against Bridlington Spa
Seamer Sports worked hard for a 1-0 win in the Scarborough FA District Cup final against Right Car East Riding County League Championship rivals Bridlington Spa at Pickering Town’s Mill Lane ground on Tuesday evening.
Seamer made a flying start when Jensen Bradbury played through Zac Hastie and he headed past the last Spa defender and slotted calmly into the corner.

Zac Hastie then had a similar chance to double the villagers’ advantage but could only put it straight into the Spa goalkeeper’s hands.
The second half was a long battle for Seamer, some brilliant defending from Sam Ward denied a Brid player a chance to shoot when he found himself through on goal.

Crucial headers and blocks from centre-backs Alfie Pearce and Harry Holden helped Seamer hang onto their slender lead and win the District Cup.
Seamer still have 10 games left as they push for Championship title glory, and are two points behind leaders AFC North but with four games in hand.
