Pier will be looking to make it a hat-trick of wins against Park in quick succession, having beaten them twice already this season.

New Park boss Geoff Nock has other ideas though and is heading into the clash on the back of his first win since taking over the role from Shaun Mancrief.

Nock, who guided his side to victory against Cayton last weekend, said: "I go into every game confident, you have to be confident.

"I hate making excuses, but we are light on the ground again. Kile Fields won't be playing, Sean Pinder is struggling with illness, Stef Moon is still suspended and Jonny Manson is injured.

"We have a lot of good players though and Jack Hakings, Drew McCoubrey and our whole defence will be key if we're going to beat Pier."

Nock knows Pier striker Billy Logan will be a hard man to stop on Saturday, having seen the former Park man head in the winner last time the sides met.

"You can't look past Billy (Logan) as their key man," added Nock.

"He's far too good to be playing at this level, and his winner against us last time showed that. Nobody else on that pitch would've scored that goal."

Pier boss Andy Spivey is expecting another close encounter between the sides this week.

He said: "We've had two very tight games so far, we were obviously happy to be on the right side of the result last time, no doubt Newlands will be hoping it's their turn this week."
