Town snap up ex-Brid Rovers striker Toby Marriott from Thackley AFC
Bridlington Town AFC have announced the signing of hometown forward Toby Marriott from Thackley AFC for an undisclosed fee.
The 6 foot 3 forward makes his return home to the local area after a successful spell playing his football over in West Yorkshire whilst completing his studies in Leeds.

A Bridlington Town FC statement said: “The club would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Thackley AFC for their immense professionalism and cooperation throughout a smoothly handled transfer process.
"Furthermore, we want to extend a massive thank you to David Naylor and the Supporters’ Trust.
“Signings like this simply would not be possible without their invaluable help and backing. Everyone at the club is incredibly grateful for their support in bringing Toby to Bridlington.
“David would encourage anyone to speak with him about joining the Supporters' Trust to help further back the club and support its ongoing growth.
“Some eagle-eyed fans may already recognise Toby! He is a proud product of our town's fantastic grassroots pathway, having originally come through the youth system at Bridlington Rovers.
“Because of this, he is already well known by Lee Harper and many others around the club. His return is a perfect example of the local talent pipeline in action.”
Thackley also posted the following on X on Saturday: “Thackley AFC can confirm that Toby Marriott has today completed a move to Bridlington Town.
"Since arriving at Thackley, Toby has been a valued member of the squad and has represented the club with commitment, professionalism and dedication.
"Everyone at Thackley AFC would like to wish Toby every success for the future, both personally and in his football career, and we look forward to following his progress at Bridlington Town. Thank you, Toby, for your efforts in a Thackley shirt, and best wishes for the future from everyone at the club.”
Town fans can get their first glimpse of the new home and away kits at the kit launch event at the Town Bar on Saturday at 7.30pm.
This will be followed by an evening of football on the big screens with England completing their group stage with a match against Panama in the World Cup, kicking off at 10pm.
