Holder Margaret Light battled her way to the semi-final to face young gun Andy Adamson but couldn’t regain her previous form and was brushed aside by a 21-11 margin.

The other semi-final was a very tight affair that went down to the wire with Simon Walker just defeating Sue Wilkinson by a 21-19 scoreline.

Adamson got away to a brilliant start in the final and had 10 points on the board before Walker managed to score a point.

Walker then came back into the game but the damage was already done and he couldn’t reclaim the deficit and Adamson ran out as the 21-6 victor to grab the glory.

The Borough President Shaughan Temple presented the prizes.
