James Wilson and Louise Taylor sparkle for Bridlington Road Runners at Drewton Woods
Sunday saw the Bridlington Road Runners seniors back in cross country action at Drewton Woods, in an event hosted by Selby Striders.
The route is a tough uncompromising course with plenty of elevation and obstacles which typifies the event, writes Thomas Fynn.

Seventeen hardy Bridlington Road Runners members were in action, James Wilson (44:50) took first male for the Yellow and Blacks with Paul Good (45:30) and Steve Wilson (50:53) completing the first three males to finish for the Brid club.
Once again though it was Louise Taylor who shone once again for Bridlington taking the first lady honour for the club in 51:39, Miriam Ireland was next to follow in 53:44 and Clare Gummerson completing the ladies top 3 in 55;58.

After the race the men’s team lie in seventh position of the league.
This Sunday sees the re-arranged Sledmere event, the final race will be held at Sewerby in March, hosted by the Bridlington club.
Saturday once again saw an excellent turnout for the weekly Sewerby parkrun event, 192 competitors of all abilities taking part.
Running a blistering time on the day was Paul Good, but despite his PB he was still just pipped to first place by visiting runner Raymond Charlton on his first visit.
Paul finished in 18:57 only 11 seconds behind the winner, however he did take top spot in the club rankings.
Steve Wilson was next for the Brid men along with second Claimant Jason Westmoreland to complete the men’s top three, Junior Oceane Price took first female for the hosts and third female overall.
