Ampleforth’s goals were scored by Alfie Nicholls, Daniel Otterburn-Smith and Jack Simpson.

Goldsborough’s faint chances of promotion are all but over as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Amotherby & Swinton Reserves, the visitors levelling in the 90th minute through Andy Metcalfe.

Ben Duell and Simon Taylor looked to have done enough to earn all three points for Boro, regardless of a Mikey Brown finish before Metcalfe earned the late point.

Heslerton Development found themselves behind to an opening-minute Niall Prentice strike at home to Goal Sports.

Early in the second period Michael Mitchinson doubled the visitors’ advantage before Dave Philips replied for the hosts.

The comeback would be short-lived though as Brad Cawkwell hit a double for Goal Sports within six minutes with Jacob Warters and Curtis Foreman adding a goal apiece.

Sinnington were in seventh heaven at Fishburn Park Academy.

Jordan Anderson hit yet another treble, with goals from Jack Vincent and Archie Turner adding to two own goals.

Division One champions West Pier carried on their unbeaten run with a 3-1 success at Kirkdale United.

Though the home side’s talisman Rob Galtrey hit his 13th goal of the campaign, but it would be a mere consolation as player-manager Will Jenkinson volleyed in the opener from a Dec Richardson corner, John Grayston headed in the second and Richardson sublimely finished with a scissor-kick on the edge of the box to guarantee three points.

Wombleton Wanderers took an early lead through the pacy Harley Clarke at Heslerton.

In the second half Clarke struck a second time before defender Josh Wade was adjudged to have pushed in the box, John Emmerson dispatching from 12 yards to put Wanderers three ahead.

Heslerton rallied, Morgan Kendrew came close on several occasions, before Bean did find the net legitimately after a fine pass from Jamie Atkinson.

Thornton Dale and Snainton met in the Trophy & Print Cup.

Mackenzie Pllu gave the visitors a great start before Morgan Elven levelled from the spot. Thornton then went ahead through Jack Sawdon.

Minutes into the second period Snainton, Regan Hewitt’s impressive strike from 20 yards made it 2-2.

The advantage was short-lived as James Sawdon headed the hosts back in front from a Myles Dale corner.

With less than 15 minutes remaining Mark McNulty equalised to send the tie to a penalty shoot-out.

Victory would go to the hosts winning by four penalties to two, Thornton’s keeper Kieran Edmond the hero with two spot-kick saves.
