Penny Gosling and Pete Charter win Nalton Pairs trophy
On Saturday October 10, Borough Bowling Club completed their season with the final club cup, the Nalton Pairs.
Two epic semi-finals ended with the same scores.
Pete Charter and Penny Gosling beat Tony Bland and James Temple 21-17 while Russ Turner and Joyce Ellis defeated James’ son Jake Temple and Ronnie Noble by the same score in the second semi-final.
Joyce and Russ took the first end in the final but some superb lead bowling by Penny supported by some precision woods from Pete saw the pair dominate the final.
After a late flurry to try and get a foothold in the game it was Penny Gosling for the second week running partnered, this time with Pete Charter, who took home the trophy.
