Hide AdWhitby stretched their lead minutes later when winger Ben Braim finished a backs move neatly in the corner.
A loose kick from the Aycliffe full-back allowed Jonny Hare to score an impressive solo try before the returning Adam Swalwell finished a length of the field move to make the score 22-0 after half an hour. Aycliffe managed to put the hosts under pressure for the rest of the half, but Whitby held them at bay.
The second half kicked off into a downpour of rain with both teams struggling to keep a hold of the ball. Strong scrummaging from the Whitby pack allowed Number 8 Swalwell to dot down from short range.

Hide AdWhitby began to dominate the territorial battle keeping Aycliffe pinned in their own half, with some neat work from the backs putting Craig Smith over making the score 34-0 going into the last 15 minutes.
Whitby's mercurial fly-half Bland then crossed for three breakaway tries in eight minutes before Conor Clements put the game to bed in the last minute to make the final score 62-0 and leave the Maroons second in the league table.
