Rhodes to take on Backhouse in Scunthorpe after Barnsley show cancellation
Scarborough boxer George Rhodes Jnr will take on Steven Backhouse in Scunthorpe on Saturday July 16.
The change of date and opponent follows the cancellation of the show at the Barnsley Metrodome on Friday July 8, where Rhodes Jnr was supposed to take on Bulgarian veteran Danny Donchev.
Backhouse has only fought twice as a professional, losing both times, but had more success as an amateur as he lifted the elite belt in his region.
