Scarborough took the lead 11 minutes in, Jordan Wakeham charging down a kick before sliding over.

Tom Ratcliffe converted from the touchline for a 7-0 lead to the hosts.

Pock battled back and ensured their deficit was reduced to 7-3 at the break, Christian Pollock kicking a penalty in front of the posts.

The visitors nudged ahead for the first time in the contest 12 minutes into the second half, persistent pressure paying off and Britland scored before Pollock converted for 10-7.

Pocklington extended their advantage on 66 minutes, Pollock kicking the penalty for a 13-7 lead before their lead was further extended to 16-7 in the 72nd minute via the boot of Pollock again.

Simon Smith's men were given hope of a dramatic last-gasp turnaround when debutant Komiti Tuilagi touched down with five minutes left on the clock.

The conversion attempt was spurned and the score was 16-12 to the visitors and Pock made sure of the points and the derby bragging rights as they crashed over late on, wrapping up a 21-12 success.
