The away side quickly fell 19-0 behind before Euan Govier's converted try made it 19-7 at the break.

York extended their advantage to 26-7 after the interval but Jonty Holloway touched down to reduce their deficit to 26-14.

The hosts weren't to be denied the win though and an unconverted try wrapped up the 31-14 win for the men from Clifton Park.
