The North Marine Road set-up are keen to sign somebody up on a voluntary basis to help out with their cricketing operations.

A statement said: "Scarborough Cricket Club wishes to continue to develop its coaching and management resource through the appointment of a cricket chairman (chairperson) who will be involved in all areas of the club’s cricket operations.

"This person will need to build upon the foundations that are in place and continue to grow and improve cricket at the club.

"The successful candidate will need to manage the link between the junior and senior sections, ensuring junior players are being developed and integrated into senior cricket. As a focal point of the club, applicants need to have good social and organisational skills.

"The cricket chairman (chairperson) will have access to some administrative support and be accountable to the Club Chairman.
