Valkyries hammer Morpeth at Silver Royd

Scarborough RUFC Valkyries proved far too strong for Morpeth as they ran out 62-5 victors at Silver Royd.

Claire Wilkinson and Mel Halstead were the stars of the show for Jess Bray's side as they romped home to a convincing victory.

Wilinson scored three superb tries as Scarborough ran riot, and full-back Halstead, Aisling Robinson and Jess Glanvill all grabbed two tries each and Danielle Rowley also touched down.

Halstead added six conversions for a personal tally of 22 points to round off a stunning display.
