Visitors to Cliff Farm Holidays praised the beautiful location of the site, which sits on the edge of the North York Moors, as well as the quiet atmosphere, spacious pitches, and clean, modern facilities.

Scott B, who stayed at the site in September 2025, gave it an overall score of 10 out of 10, saying: “Lovely quiet site next to a farm. The hardstanding pitches are well maintained with good access to water/electric hook up, even had chocks for the wheels.

“Shower and toilet area is really pleasant and clean. Good recycling facilities. We enjoyed our stay and would go again.”

Cheryl W also gave the Cliff Farm Holidays 10 out of 10 and described seeing and hearing farm animals during her stay as ‘authentic and therapeutic’.

Cheryl, who stayed at the site August 2025, said: “I would absolutely recommend the farm for any of its overnight accommodation.”

Visitors to Congrave Farm Holidays loved the stunning moorland and valley views, the friendly, welcoming owners and the peaceful atmosphere.

Joanne W, who stayed in August 2025 gave the site an overall score of 10 out of 10, commenting: “Fabulous little site with space for five vans. Fully serviced pitches. We were met by the owner who was very knowledgeable about the area.

“Lovely, clean and well-kept site. The village is very quaint with lovely places to walk.”

Aileen L, who visited in July last year, also gave the site a top score of 10 out of 10. She said: “This is a very peaceful site in beautiful countryside, with walking trails and pubs close by.

“We stayed for three nights and didn’t need to move the van.“

Dan Yates, founder of Pitchup.com, said he wasn’t surprised farms in North Yorkshire were among the most popular in the UK.

He said: “With North Yorkshire’s shared heritage in agriculture and tourism, it’s no surprise enterprising farmers are combining the two very well indeed.

“We have a lot of working farms in North Yorkshire listed on our website, and they always prove to be extremely popular with holidaymakers due to the natural beauty of the region, but also because of the friendliness of the people who have been welcoming tourists for generations.

“Cliff Farm Holidays and Congrave Farm Holidays have taken this to the next level and got their offering just right to score 9.9 out of 10 across the board with customer reviews.

“They are two of just a handful farm-based campsites on Pitchup.com to do that, and it is a fantastic achievement.

“People love to stay on working farms and for those farmers who take advantage of that, there are a lot of benefits from extra revenue and the chance to socialise, to supporting their local economy with extra tourism spend.”
