WEATHER: Long queues on A171 as drivers face hazardous conditions in snow
Another blockage is being reported on the A171 out of Whitby due to the weather conditions.

Drivers have reported jams at Skelder this morning.
Earlier, a stalled truck was causing long queues on the A171 eastbound from Whitby Lane to Margrove Road.
There have also been reports of traffic queuing around Pond Hill.

Hide AdSnow has meant that the coronavirus testing site at Thornton-Le-Dale is shut today.
People with appointments there will be contacted with alternative arrangements.
A Met Office amber snow warning is in place for areas in the west of North Yorkshire until 1pm today.
The rest of North Yorkshire has a yellow warning for snow and ice until midnight tonight.
