Joined by the Manchester Concert Orchestra, the Blur bassist delivered a stunning orchestral reimagining of the era's defining soundtrack.
The high-energy set featured classics including Supergrass’ Alright, The Charlatans The Only One I Know, Pulp’s Common People and Disco 2000, The Stone Roses I Wanna Be Adored, Happy Mondays' Step On and The Verve's Bitter Sweet Symphony. Oasis fans were treated to a host of favourites, from Rock ’n’ Roll Star to Don’t Look Back in Anger and Wonderwall. And of course, the music of Blur featured heavily with Song Two, Country House, Girls and Boys, and Parklife all part of the setlist.
A trio of special guests added extra star power, with Ocean Colour Scene’s Simon Fowler opening the show with The Riverboat Song, Republica's Saffron performing Ready To Go, and Reef frontman Gary Stringer leading a mass singalong to Place Your Hands.
The night concluded with Blur’s The Universal, bringing all the evening's special guests back to the stage for a fitting finale.
