A National Theatre live production of Golden Boy will be screening at Whitby Coliseum in a forthcoming event.

Golden Boy (15) starring Josh O'Connor, Daniel Mays & Hayley Squires, is set in 1930s New York, at the height of the Depression.
Joe Bonaparte is a gifted young violinist with a future in music, until a chance at fame and fortune lures him into the brutal world of professional boxing.
He must confront what he’s willing to sacrifice, who he’s willing to become and how to find his place in a world that demands he choose a side.
The National Theatre live production is brought to life with a live string quartet and filmed live from the Almeida Theatre.
Olivier Award-winner Sam Yates (Vanya) directs this propulsive drama exploring ambition, identity, and the high price of success.
You can see it on Thursday November 5, 7pm.
Tickets £12.
All Rivers Spill Their Stories To The Sea, a film by Jeanie Finlay, is also screening at Whitby Coliseum on Wednesday December 2.
In the North East of England where the river meets the sea, Stan Rennie is the last in a long line of fishermen who have worked the same stretch of coastline for centuries.
When a mysterious tidemark of poisoned crabs and lobsters devastates a small north east fishing town in England, Stan's life is turned upside down overnight.
The production starts at 7pm, tickets £5.
