NEW MUSIC: Listen to the new single from Whitby's David Neil Crabtree
Whitby's David Neil Crabtree new record is out now.
The single which was released on September 24 is a hauntingly beautiful love song with elements of Peter Gabriel and Sting threaded through it.
David said: "I'm pleased with the comparison. The single has a soulful R&B feel, it's what I'd call 'thinking man's rock.'"
Written by David and producer Danny Schogger, who has worked with such industry leading lights as George Michael and Paul Young, the track was mixed by John Gallen, known for his work with Queen, Billy Ocean and Beverly Craven.
David who had been planning a promotional tour to support the release has had to change his approach due to coronavirus. He said: "I can't do live gigs, so instead I'm planning to do a couple of online gigs, although we are still hoping to perform at The Forum in Darlington in October and I'm also planning a live session at Whitby Brewery in early October."
"It's a shame because we had all sorts planned for this, but we'll have to make do with what we've got.
"It's either move forward or give up and I can't give up now."
"I Just Want to Tell You" offers a soulful, many-layered melody and is a listen-on-repeat delight from a talented musician whose work continues to impress.
