Ever wondered what Marilyn Monroe or Elvis's last words were, or what the final meal of a condemned prisoner tastes like?

A unique new show at the Stephen Joseph Theatre, The Last Supper, aims to help you find out.

Part performance, part meal, The Last Supper is an intimate dinner, on-stage in The Round auditorium, for 39 guests who will hear the last words and thoughts of the departed and be served a mixture of dishes.

It’s been performed worldwide including in the UK, across Europe and Australia, and praised by critics including The Guardian’s Lyn Gardner, who said: “There is something about the simplicity of this show that is unbearably moving.”

It’s presented by Anglo-Belgian company Reckless Sleepers.

The company creates original theatre pieces, installation projects and interventions for theatres, galleries, museums, site and seasonally-specific projects that both entertain and challenge audiences, viewers and participants.

The Last Supper can be seen at the Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough on Sunday February 14 at at 6pm and again at 8.30pm.

It is part of this year’s annual Scarborough arts festival, Coastival.
