The acts are: RuPaul’s Drag Race: Werq The World on Sunday June 20; Olly Murs on Saturday July 10 and Nile Rodgers and Chic on Friday August 20.
RuPaul’s show has sold out arenas around the globe. It mixes music, comedy and lavish set pieces to create a big, brash glorious party night.
The show for 2021 sees an experiment gone wrong which sends Drag Race judge and Strictly Come Dancing star Michelle Visage spiraling through time with no way of returning “home”.
Scarborough Open Air Theatre programmer Peter Taylor said: “The demand for tickets across the UK and Europe has been phenomenal.”
July’s date will be Murs’ third visit to the venue. He will perform his hits, including tracks from his triple platinum album ‘Never Been Better.
“Olly played two brilliant sold-out shows here in 2013 and 2017 and fans are constantly requesting we bring him back which we are delighted to be able to do,” said Mr Taylor.
The undisputed Kings of Disco Nile Rodgers and Chick have also played the UK’s largest purpose-built outdoor concert arena before.
They will be performing their hits including I Want Your Love and C’est Chic.
Tickets go on general sale via: www.scarboroughopenairtheatre.com at 9am on Friday, October 9.
