. Oliver's Mount
Some of the best views of Scarborough are from the top of Oliver's Mount, you can see for miles on a clear day. Couple it with a walk around the mere and you have the makings of a perfect day out.

There's plenty to explore in the woods at Forge Valley. The walkway makes this option accessible to all ages.

Take in the sights of Whitby on this loop from Sandsend. Stroll along the seafront with this walk into town that takes in the iconic 199 steps and St Mary's Church.

. Cinder Track
Popular with walkers and cyclists, the cinder track is a nice flat run all the way to Whitby. Alternatively, looping from Burniston to Hayburn Wyke and back is a great walk.

6. Cleveland Way
The mammoth Cleveland Way is over 100 miles long stretching from Helmsley, over the moors and down the coast to Filey. If you don't fancy the whole thing, there are fabulous views on the stretch from Sea Life to Cloughton.

Up on the tops giving fantastic views over Whitby, take a stroll around Whitby Abbey. The easily accessible paths make it a good option for all the family.

Flamborough Head offers stunning views so a stroll around here makes for a great day out. For a longer walk why not start from Bridlington to make the most of the stunning coastal views.
