17 intergalactic photos from Sci-Fi Scarborough as popular event returns for twelfth year

Described by organisers as the unconventional convention, Sci-Fi Scarborough (SFS) saw a host of costumed visitors descend on the Spa for the event’s twelfth consecutive year.

SFS returned for 2026 with fresh guests and a range of exhibits and stalls designed to showcase all things Sci-Fi.

Visitors enjoyed a weekend full of activities and must-see characters. They range from guest stars to gaming, props to publishers, cosplayers to comic books, artists to authors, traders to top-line creators, fan films, Geek Pub Quiz, cosplay competition, gaming, Astromech’s and Daleks.

New to the line up for 2026 was the Evidence Room, an area where you can talk all things UFO and paranormal with Paul Sinclair, Ian Linford, James Koppert, Jordan Lapping and Iain Hunter.

Richard Ponter went along on the day to capture photos from the event.
