Free festive fun and entertainment at Eastfield Community Christmas

Residents and friends of Eastfield, near Scarborough, are invited to enjoy a special community Christmas celebration.

On Wednesday December 21 from 10am until 4pm, there will be free entertainment, family activities and festive shopping at the High Street Area.

The first ever Eastfield Community Christmas will be opened by the Mayor of the Borough of Scarborough, Councillor Eric Broadbent, near Proudfoot supermarket.

There will be a live music and entertainment programme on the This is the Coast stage located near Eastfield Medical Centre. Taking to the stage throughout the day will be Magic Mike, Clubbercise, Penny Whispers, The Elf Choir and Paddy’s Kids Christmas Disco

Birds of prey, face painting, children’s crafts and a coffee morning will on be offer in Eastfield Library.

Meanwhile families should head to The Legacy (Eastfield Community Centre) to see Santa in his grotto (50p charge applies), shop for gifts and goodies at the pop-up fair, and have fun in the ball pool and on the children’s rides.

More gifts and treats will be available to buy from the festive stalls outside Proudfoot supermarket and The Grinch will try his best to disturb the festivities in the community café from 11am to 3pm.

There will be a raffle to win a Christmas hamper worth £50 with raffle tickets available to buy from the library, community centre and café. Age UK will also hold a tombola raffle.

Eastfield Community Christmas is supported by Scarborough Borough Council and Eastfield PACT in partnership with Eastfield Community Association, Eastfield Residents Association, More than Books, This is the Coast, The Curious Theme Factory, Fun Packed Parties, O’Briens Fun Fair and Penny Whispers.
