The ground floor of Burton Agnes Hall has become a house a plant paradise, with several hundred beautiful orchids through the Great Hall and the adjoining rooms.
Delicate, colourful and highly-scented, the diverse varieties of orchids are breath-taking to behold and every year bring flocks of visitors to witness the spectacle.
The orchid festival officially opened on March 28, and will now run until April 12.
As well as the beautiful displays, visitors will be able to purchase plants from a broad selection that are displayed on the ground floor.
The whole event is wheelchair accessible.

In 1173 Roger de Stuteville built the Norman manor-house, the lower chamber of which still remains today. Since then the property has never changed hands by sale, though it has passed from family to family on occasion when the male line has ended. Photo: Simon Hulme
