Care home manager receives outstanding service award
Emine Tekis, the manager of Eagle View Care Home in Scarborough, has been honoured with a silver award for outstanding services to Adult Social Care.
Emine, who took over the management of Eagle View Care Home just six months ago, faced the challenge of leading a facility that was on the brink of closure.
Through her leadership and dedication Emine, along with her team, has successfully turned the situation around, making significant improvements and ensuring the home’s continued operation.
The award was presented to Emine by Professor Deborah Sturdy, CBE, Chief Nurse for Adult Social Care, at the Health and Social Care Achieving Excellence Together meeting in York and was said to be "in recognition of Emine’s hard work and the positive changes she has made at the home, demonstrating her commitment to excellence in adult social care".
