Bridlington libraries to host brand-new BOOKED! events
Bridlington’s two libraries are set to host events as part of the new BOOKED! programme, a series of live and interactive sessionscoming to the East Riding this month.
ShakeItUp Shakespeare: The improvised Shakespeare Show will be at Bridlington Central Library on Friday, November 13 (1pm to 2pm).
The company uses the playwright’s language and audience suggestions to bring an improvised, imaginative Shakespeare play to the stage.
ShakeItUp Shakespeare spokesperson said: “Using his language, your audience suggestions and our overactive imaginations, we create a brand new Shakespeare play live on stage!
“Complete with live music, songs and plenty of laughs, ShakeItUp Shakespeare weaves together the themes, characters and language of Shakespeare to create unforgettable performances that the Bard himself would have been proud to pen (...probably!).”
Bridlington North Library will deliver an evening of entertaining stand-up comedy, in partnership with Barnstomers Comedy, featuring three top acts on Friday, November 13 at 7.30pm.
East Yorkshire-based Barnstormers Comedy have been presenting stand-up shows since 2001.
In that time, the number of regular promotions has steadily increased to the point where Barnstormers have established shows in a variety of arts centres and theatres throughout the land.
