Stuart is The Yorkshire Post's chief football writer, a position he has held since October 2019. He covers all 11 of Yorkshire's clubs in the Premier League and EFL as well as the England teams. As well as covering in excess of 100 games a season, Stuart also writes with great insight and authority on such matters as dementia in football, the European Super League and football's role within society. Stuart started his career as a sports sub-editor on the Liverpool Echo before writing about a wide range of sports during 14 years with the Chronicle, The Journal and the Sunday Sun in Newcastle.
