Scarborough pub offers discounted meals to help parents with Cost of Living crisis

A Scarborough pub is offering discounted children’s meals throughout the week to help parents who might be struggling financially.

Byways, in Crossgates, is extending their ‘Kids Eat For £1’ offer amid the current financial crisis.The offer usually runs on a Monday between 3pm and 5pm, but will now be running all day on a Monday, and 3pm until 5pm between Tuesday and Friday.Every child will receive a meal for just £1 when accompanied by a paying adult until Friday February 10. Ian Straughan, marketing controller for the Hungry Horse, said: “We understand that this time of year is always challenging following the Christmas period and even more so this year with the current financial challenges affecting many across the UK.

“We believe it’s more important than ever for us to be able to support our customers and offer parents, families and individuals the opportunity to get the most for their money and entertain and feed their children for less.

“Our January offers do just that, providing a variety of options across our Hungry Horse, brand, to keep children active and well fuelled, while helping to ease the monetary pressures that so many people are facing.”

The pub is also supporting people participating in ‘Dry January’ by offering a free 330ml bottle of Heineken 0.0 or Coca Cola Zero Sugar for anyone who walks or runs 10k steps in a day.
