There is also one in Bradford city centre, one in Wakefield Westgate Retail & Leisure Park and in Xscape Yorkshire in Castleford.

Across the region, there is also the new Cineworld at the Community Stadium in York, one on Broughton Lane in Sheffield, in the Alma Leisure Park at Chesterfield and in the Kingswood Retail Park at Hull.

Strict safety and social distancing measures will be put in place when the cinemas reopen.

There will be staggered film times to reduce the chance of customers crossing paths as they go in and out of screens.

The change will also limit crowds in the foyer.

Additional cleaning time will be added between films.

There will be updated seating maps so that families can sit together but keep a safe distance between customers from different households.

All employee and customer toilets will be stocked with anti-bacterial hand soap.

Tickets will be available to purchase on the website, contactless payments will be accepted and plastic screens will be added at tills.

A spokesman for Cineworld said: "We are excited to announce that we are planning to re-open Cineworld Cinemas across England on 10th July 2020.
