Crimestoppers is appealing for anyone who has not yet shared information to contact them, which can be done 100% anonymously - guaranteed.

Vicky was last seen at around 4.30am on Union Street in Middlesbrough on September 24 2000. A missing person investigation began, but this changed to a murder inquiry when her body was found near Danby on November 3 2000.

Despite extensive enquiries, and a large number of witnesses who have been spoken to over the years, nobody was ever charged or convicted of her murder. To encourage anyone with information to come forward, Crimestoppers is now offering a reward of up to £20,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

Fleur Brown, Crimestoppers Regional Manager for North East England said: “We particularly want to hear from anyone with information about Vicky’s movements around September 24 2000, or the circumstances leading up to the discovery of her body near Danby on November 3 2000.”

Issuing the appeal Crimestoppers said: “Do you have any information regarding this tragic case? If you know something, after all this time, now is the time to share it. You can tell us what you know and remain 100% anonymous - you don't need to speak to the police.

“Call free on 0800 555 111 any time, day or night, or fill in our quick and easy online form.

“In over a quarter of a century, circumstances may have changed. Friendships end, loyalties shift and people who once may have felt unable to speak may now feel differently. We're urging anyone who has held on to information, however insignificant or long ago it may seem, to come forward.

“Vicky’s family have lived without answers for decades. If fear, a relationship or loyalty to someone stopped you speaking at the time, your circumstances may now be different.

“You do not need to give us your name. If you have information, even if you are unsure how it fits into the investigation, please tell Crimestoppers what you know. A detail you may think is small could help.”

Note: Information must be passed directly Crimestoppers - not to the police - to qualify for a reward. The reward will only be payable for information passed directly to Crimestoppers and not to the police.
