Bridlington restaurant could face £20,000 penalty over illegal worker claim
Acting on intelligence, Immigration Enforcement officers visited Saffron Indian Cuisine, in St John Street, at 7pm on Friday 11 May.
A spokesperson for the Home Office said: "A 37-year-old Bangladeshi man was found to be working without the correct permission to do so.

Hide Ad"Saffron Indian Cuisine was served a Civil Penalty Referral Notice in relation to the illegal worker."
The notice warns that a financial penalty of up to £20,000 will be imposed unless the employers can demonstrate that appropriate right-to-work document checks were carried out, such as seeing a passport or Home Office document confirming permission to work.
