The Countess of Wessex will be visiting the Driffield Showground on Wednesday, 25th March to open the new events centre, the Rix Pavilion.
The opening of this new facility at the Showground is the culmination of many years of decision making, fund raising and hard work by a great number of people.
The Rix Pavilion will provide the region with a unique facility.
The venue will be able comfortably seat 350 people for a seated dinner and dance and in excess of over 700 people theatre style.
The venue will also incorporate all the expected facilities including spacious kitchens and toilets to service these larger events. The showground also provides ample car parking and the potential for camping to support events at the Rix Pavilion.

The impact of having this size and quality of facility of the Showground is immense.
